Short Description: One challenge for teachers trying to incorporate Project Based Learning (PBL) strategies into their classroom is having the knowledge to implement effectively. Our Project Based Learning Techniques course will help guide you through the process of setting up beneficial learning environments. We cover theories behind PBL, as well as planning activities, assessment, feedback, and reflection strategies. By taking our course, you’ll discover the fascinating world of PBL by using hands-on and engaging learning techniques.

Instructor Description: This course is instructor supported. The instructor for this course is Erin Fouse, Mrs. Fouse holds a Masters in the Science of Psychology, a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the State University of New York at Potsdam. Erin spent 15 years as a public school teacher. She began her career teaching Spanish in grades K-8 before moving to a self-contained 4th grade classroom. Mrs. Fouse subsequently spent 10 years teaching the Academically Gifted students in the areas of Reading and Language Arts. While teaching, she served as the Chairman of Climate and Safety committee, she is a North Carolina State Certified Mentor for beginning teachers, and was Grade-Level Chair for 7 years.
